Renewable Energy 100 Declaration RE Action

On February 26, 2021, we took part in the "Renewable Energy 100 Declaration RE Action." As part of our commitment to renewable energy, we are actively working to ensure that 100% of the electricity consumed by our company and its group entities is derived from renewable sources. We achieve this by harnessing electricity produced by our solar power generation facilities. Additionally, we are researching methods for supplying stable and environmentally valuable electricity to our customers using the power generated by our facilities during regional recovery efforts that follow significant power outages.

Our goal is to become a "head office with off-grid power" by 2032. We will achieve this by continually operating the solar power generation facilities at our head office even after the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) program concludes, directly covering the power needs of our head office with the generated electricity. This initiative represents our dedication to sustainable and environmentally responsible energy practices.

Examples of efforts to achieve a decarbonized society using our own solar power generation

In our pursuit of realizing the "RE Action of the 100 Renewable Energy Declaration," the Daytona Group initiated collaboration with non-fossil fuel certificate intermediaries that play a vital role in advancing a decarbonized society through Climate Change Technology in November 2021. Through this collaboration, we have been tracking the electricity generation from our facilities, purchasing non-fossil fuel certificates, and actively working to promote the decarbonization of our electricity consumption. This approach aligns with our commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.

Achievements

FY2022 (April 2022 ~ March 2023)

initiatives

2022 June Introduced100% renewable energy electricity from Asuene to its headquarters and Dart Freak headquarters
2022 November U-POWER Introduces10% Renewable Energy Electricity to Its Headquarters and Dirt Freak Headquarters
Contract with e-dash for FIT non-fossil fuel certificates, start of purchase
2023 January U-POWER Introduces10% Renewable Energy toTwo Riders Support Company

Targets and Results

Targets

Achieve decarbonization in Scope 2 (greenhouse gas emissions from indirect emissions from the use of electricity supplied by other companies).
